How to clear the cache in any browser

When using an application in a web browser, images, cookies, logins, and web browser history are saved in a location called the cache.  When the application is not performing as normal, the support person may tell you to "clear your cache."  So how do you do that in the browser you are using?  Keep reading for a simple way to do that.

To clear the browser cache in any browser, do the following:

1. While in your chosen browser (Chrome, FireFox, Edge, etc.), press CTRL-SHIFT-DEL.
2. You should see a pop-up window or tab for clearing the cache.
3. Choose whether you want to clear everything or just the images, cookies, browsing history, or logins.  Also choose the time period to clear.
4.  Once you have cleared the cache, close all browser windows and re-open to see if your problem as been resolved.
